Championship Golf Course
The Big Easy Chet Williams designed 9-hole, par-3 championship golf course is far from easy. It’s a challenge for even the best executive player.
The course, designed by well-known golf course architect Chet Williams, features undulating hills and approaches, strategically placed lakes and traps and meticulously maintained and well-bunkered greens designed in the tradition of classic courses such as Augusta National, Cypress Point and Pebble Beach.
Freshly manicured fairways on nine gorgeously designed holes are both thrilling and fun for novices and skilled players alike.
Stands of century-old oaks, sparkling lakes and ponds and cascading waterfalls frame your views, while a challenging and fun layout tests your mettle. The course winds through thousands of beautiful, huge live oaks and other hardwoods such as maple, post oak and cedar along the small creek systems. The native brush is typical of the Texas coastal plains, including post oak and yaupon.
There are four tee positions, from executive to professional. The driving range is set up like a course which takes away the imagination of a fade or draw with greens and bunkers for the best practice possible.
The Big Easy Ranch course is also the home course for the Hal Sutton Golf Academy. (See praise for the the Hal Sutton Academy and Hal’s instruction methods.) Sutton, the former PGA champion, winner of 14 PGA Tour titles and Ryder Cup captain, shares his experience and expertise with executive golfers looking to improve his or her game with both hourly and daily sessions.
After a round of golf or a session with Hal, enjoy the cuisine of the Ranch Lodge by the Big Easy’s executive chef. It’s a round and day to remember.
